Raleigh's Healthy Greek and Middle Eastern Restaurant

Raleigh has really grown in eclectic and international cuisines over the past few years. A very healthy way to eat is Brier Creek Baba Grillwith Greek or Middle Eastern foods. At Baba Grill at Brier Creek, they call it fresh Mediterranean food. The food there is really good! It’s a sit down and carryout place.

Baba Grill is the real deal. They make their hummus fresh every day. And, we love their beef and chicken kabob entrees. We usually add the lavash bread and Greek salad onto the platter. If you’ve never had lavash bread, it’s really soft and flat, and what you’d imagine was served at The Last Supper.

Oh and I love their tzatziki sauce (pronounced t-zeekee) with yogurt, mint, lemon and diced cucumber ingredients. Nothing bad listed there. The sauce tastes great with any kind of meat and I like it with the basmati rice too. They also have popular grape leaves appetizers. I’m not a big fan as it’s too bitter for my taste, but if you like that sorta thing, I’m sure theirs is awesome.

If you visit, don’t forget to order their hand made desserts. Eric loves the baklava. I like the one that looks like a rolled up frosted mini wheat. They’ve told me the name of it before but I keep forgetting since it has a heavy Middle Eastern name. I guess I need to learn how to roll my “r’s” better under my tongue… then I might remember. The desserts are sweet and sticky and oh soooo good. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. I’d go to Baba Grill right now and splurge, but we have evening plans already so I don’t wanna ruin my appetite.
