Raleigh’s Up to 50% Off Big Belk Sale Event…Inside Scoop on Pre-Sale Event Shopping Opportunity!

sale-signBig Raleigh Belk Sale Event on May 2nd that you might’ve heard about. Boy, do I have the shopping spree inside scoop 2 share with you!  …But before I go there, I have to pose the big question of the day:  have you finished your taxes and gotten them in the Post Office hands? If you have, are you planning to celebrate your own tax tea or other party today for getting taxes done on time?  I am, and you should.  Taxes are an annual exercise most of us don’t get very excited about.  And yeah I have some friends who are always bragging about how they finished their taxes months ago and are on their way to their refund. Okay, not to be snide or anything, but if you’re getting a refund or got your refund, it means you overpaid your taxes last year. Nothing to be excited about there… and secondly, you don’t win any brownie points for beating the rest of us! But I still love you guys!!! :-)

Okay now that I got that off my chest, I wanted to fill you in on an upcoming Sale Event that just about anyone can participate in, whether you just got laid off from your work (…sorry), or money is no object and bless you, you’re helping our Raleigh economy by spending wisely.

Have you heard of Belk’s big charity sale event just a few weeks away on May 2nd??? Whether you have or not, I’m gonna give you the information AND the ‘INSIDE scoop’ for savvy shoppers.

Normally I don’t like putting the words ‘charity’ and ‘sale’ in the same sentence because people tend to think of Goodwill clothing and yard sales, which are great and I support those causes fully, but this ONE event is really about the department store sale and part of the proceeds will go to local charities.

The charity I’m supporting for this sale event is Best Friend Pet Adoption, or BFPA for short. They’re a local non profit that provides care and foster homes for rescued and abandoned cats and dogs, until they find their forever home. But, the reason this charity should spark an interest for avid shoppers is …BFPA has an ‘inside’ opportunity for shoppers to get the 20%-50% off deals before the May 2nd event date where the public mobs will be coming in droves. Plus, these pre-sale event shoppers won’t have to drive out and get there at the convenient 6 am time (haha) on Saturday, May 2 when the doors open. So the pre-sale opportunity benefits anyone who wants to:

-shop without big crowds and the big lines,
-be the first to snatch the best shopping finds of brand names, including cosmetics and fragrances,
-go to the sale in a good mood and not half asleep.

So if any of that sounds appealing, I’ve provided the brochure here to give you details about the pre-sale event.

But whether you want to participate in either the pre-sale event days or the public May 2nd event, a $5 purchased ticket from a local participating charity like Best Friend Pet Adoption, will get you into the big once-a-season sale. Plus, your $5 ticket will be taken off your first purchase so it will cost you nothing and will benefits local charities. The actual May 2nd event runs from 6 am to 10 am. I guess that’s because Belk wants to have it before the mall opens or gets busy.

So get your ticket now if you want to participate.  Oh, and feel free to share what great finds you make out with, here. That’s actually something worth bragging about (it’s the next best thing to blogging)!  Just come back after the event and click on the ‘add a comment’ button at the top of this post.  I’ll be rooting for you to get the best deals (if I don’t beat-cha to it)! :-) …and hopefully I’ll see you there!

I just learned today there are still 600 pre-sale event tickets ($5 each) available from BFPA. I’m sure there’s less than 600 now since the announcement, and they will go soon…so if you’re interested, get ‘em while they’re around…
