Raleigh VIP Club.com blog content is produced by Brandy Ruth, a small business owner and consumer. Brandy has been working in sales and marketing since 1996. Okay, I could keep writing in the third person but hey, it’s me writing about me so that’s a little awkward. So, I’m gonna switch to the first person.

My name is Brandy Ruth. I live in Raleigh with my husband, Eric and dog, Apollo (that’s us pictured at North Hills during the summer). And I love to shop…for myself, Eric, Apollo, our home, the holidays, when it’s nice out…you get the picture.

But you know what…sometimes I’m really disappointed with the quality of services and products I get. Not always, but sometimes. And then there are times when I’m pleasantly surprised, like the first time Eric and I went to Bella Monica, the small Italian restaurant on Creedmoor. We had their spinach and feta flatbread and lasagne dish…and they were both to die for. Plus, the service was like something you’d expect at a five star restaurant…totally on point, friendly and fast. That’s a thumbs up experience.

Then there are the inconsistent business providers that I got a little fed up with. They would start on a good foot and end up where I didn’t know what to expect. So I was back to the drawing board for finding a good solution. And then ontop of the inconsistent ones, there are the terrible ones that really leave a bad taste. Like the time we hired a housecleaner who showed up late, reeked of cigarette smoke, moved a little dust around, and then wanted $150 for her “work.” That just makes me mad. You know what I mean?

So I Started A Blog

I decided to take back control by writing about my experiences and sharing them with other Raleigh shoppers and consumers like me. The good, the bad and the ugly. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t start this blog just to vent my frustrations. That’s part of it, but definitely not all of it. Most of all, I want to help other women and men here in Raleigh stop wasting their time (and stop getting frustrated) with their shopping experiences, and cut right to the chase by finding only the best, the cream of the crop Raleigh business providers.

Especially when it comes to service businesses. Finding a good hair colorist (or painter, lawn care provider, etc.) can be a nightmare. It took me over 5 tries to find the one I liked and who didn’t overprocess and kill my hair. You can read about this story and others like it on the blog.

Oh, and the blog is updated daily so be sure to tune in every day or whenever you’re looking for a new business provider. And if you don’t see a blog post on a specific type of provider that you’re seeking… I probably just haven’t gotten to it. But if you just contact me, I’ll see what I can do to put that on priority!
